When the blade overly polished, etched logo loses its edge.
    Nickel plated SMF non-touched blade:

    SMF blade in these topic:

IMO the differences in Logo sharpness are obvious.

    Vedran,

sorry to say but i dont see to many differences between the 2.
What i do know know after taking pics of at least 70 different daggers that the logo's can look very different on the same dagger.
All depending on light and angle.
I can take a picture the way the logo looks completely black and after that take the same picture and it will be completely grey.

I guess a dagger like this most be judged in hand, and its easy to say that its been polished to dead, but ive learned that you cant Judge a dagger by just 1 picture, sometimes its even hard seeing a lot of pics and your still not satisfied
In hand it can look way better or ...even worse.

    Regards,
    Ger

Always when a some motifs are etched, remain small irregularities on the edges.
And when someone is going to polish etched blade, such irregularities disappear, and the edges of etched - become soft.
None photos can not hide these fact.
    Example intact etching:

    Pay attention to the edges:

They are always sharp, there is no soft any transition.
