    Hi,
Again after some wine I made a purchase from my favourite dealer.
I bought this Luftwaffe sword, ALCOSO/Albert Kuhl.
Just sharing some pictures, all comments are welcome.
I will try to find out when it was made.
First I was tempted to try some cleaning in a small place but I guess that often is a bad idea, so no.
Maybe maybe do something with the leather to keep it OK, and check how to best keep the blade nice.
    Have a nice day!

Nice one And it is nice to see also distributor mark. Albert Kuhl Münster was founded 1909.

If you like to clean it, I recommend to clean blade only and stay rest of the sword like it is. Use Simichrome and after that use Renaissance wax, but be sure not to use those on maker or distributor's logo.

If the leather is okay, just leave it. Keep it well stored, free from excess moisture, but not too dry either, and keep a regular eye on it (not a difficult thing to do).
If the leather has stayed good for all these years, then it has been well stored. You just have to do the same and it will continue to be so.

    All hail Bacchus!
    Well done.

That is a great sword and the Albert Kuhl distributers mark is seldomly seen on Luft Swords.
We see them on army daggers with exact this same logo, it would explain that Kuhl did a huge order in the time frame that they used this logo.

    Do not clean any fittings!!!
Its a plated blade so a bit of simi chrome wouldnt hurt, but other then that if the leather is sound i would not touch it.

    Congratz on this great asset.
