New Pickup- Luftwaffe SMF sword

Gents - this sword arrived today. It was listed for sale earlier this week on another forum. I happened to be reviewing the thread right when it was listed, and I think I hesitated all of 5 seconds before I said, “I’ll take it” … I have been looking for one in nice shape in my price range, and this one from another collector fit the bill. It’s alum, and the leather is in nice shape. A few knicks on the handle, the scabbard leather is really nice. I don’t see issues, but I wanted to share it. Probably the fastest “buy” I have ever made online. I didn’t take photos of the screws because they are nice and flat … i saw no evidence of issues or tampering under my jeweler’s loop. Dan you have a textbook alu SMF sword in pristine condition!
SMF alu luft swords are known for their thin gilding on the sunwheels, lots of them have fainted gilding, but yours is great!
Many swords ago an exact same SMF was my first Luftwaffe Sword, i enjoyed it big time!
