Paratrooper gravity knife direct from vet

Article about: Hello sirs, I purchased this today direct from the German vet who carried it. This gentleman was with the 1st Parachute Division and he obtained the knife during the fighting at Monte Cassin

    Thank you Mauser.

Here are a few pictures that he took during the war. He described and dated the pictures on the back when he took them. Each is dated in 1944. The one of the two soldiers shows his lieutenant ( or maybe sergeant). He said "he was an old man". I had him sign the first picture shown.

And a few other items I picked up from him but these were not his personal items.

    Best,
    Rob

This is a painting that his mother had made based on the cover of the newspaper. I'm going to have this printed on canvas to make it look similar to the original and have him sign it.

Caption says Helden Von Cassino "Heroes (or Hero) of Cassino"

    Best,
    Rob
