    Hi Evgeniy, it is based on comments from Robin Lumsden in a previous post. See link to the post below. There is a picture of a period ad for 'Wehrwolfringe'. It seems that this pattern of ring was referred to a Wehrwolf in the 1920s:

    Fair enough, Evgeniy. I agree, they are indeed different rings albeit they both have a skull and a snake coiling around the shank. I guess the question is, what makes a Wehrwolf ring a Wehrwolf ring? If Robin sees this, perhaps he will advise.
    In my opinion, the term 'Wehrwolf' is a bit confusing as it means different things to different people.

    I think it was just a publicity stunt for a seller who advertised a sale in a newspaper ;-)
    And nothing more.
