Important documents of the concentration camp bureaucracy.
"The SS censorship went as far as to remove a section of the letter, adding the warning that the camp rules are to be followed exactly."
Who received the warning, the sender prior to mailing or the recipient of the letter?
By the way, how that woman doctor of Ravensbruck escaped with a few years in jail,... beggars belief.

Tha warning was made clear to both the sender and recipient but obviously, the recipient would see the stamp markings whereas the prisoner who wrote the mail would be addressed in person.
Regarding the female SS physician at Ravensbrück, I assume you refer to Herta Oberheuser as she was the only female physician from Ravensbrück tried at the Nuremberg Doctors' trial. Initially sentenced to twenty years, later reduced to just five for good behaviour. After her release, she was even able to continue working as a doctor until a survivor of Ravensbrück recognised her, resulting in her license being revoked. I wish this thread to focus on the postal censorship, so will refrain from further details but do read more, especially the documented cross examination.
