The beauty of these fine works of art have already been seen in,,, up close and in phenomenal photographic detail.
This thread along with each other Third Reich Edged Weapon forums...will be reserved only for ...photographic reference of Period In wear photos of daggers and swords. This thread will help the user to identify..the correct wear location and any visible accoutrements for study. These photos can be from a Soldier..all the way up to a High Leader!

Compliments of our esteemed Moderator Stone Mint
The photo shows Russians who liberated this dagger most likely during the advancement towards Berlin in the German occupied territories
which shows a Social Welfare leader dagger..almost near Identical to the Red cross leaders dagger..the only detail that separates the 2 daggers is that the Red cross leader dagger will have square holes on the scabbard carrying bands..where as pictured above ..the Social Welfare dagger has round holes.

Funny how you are talking about liberating a dagger ........... we Europeans say, most likely stolen the dagger or looted or taking of a body
The liberation was Europe from the Nazi's but taken off is something else LOL
