Theodore Eickes dagger
Ernst Erich Witte KRONECKWERK (RZM 7/98) made early SA's, HJ knives, RLB 1st and 2nd model and SS RZM 183/SS.
Eicke's dagger is a custom made piece.
The two color photos are from Johnsons large pictorial reference.

First I want to thank our SS colleagues on the SS forum for a most excellent thread and bio on this SS mann pictured below. The thread of reference seen here. This SS general by the name of Alfred Rodenbucher was the SS leader for Ober Abscnhitt- Ostereich during the early 1930s.
That found someone
A few points of interest regarding the dagger itself.
1. take notice the dagger is a standard SSem type..which it seems this guy chose not to wear a Chained SS dagger which he was entitled to prior to 1933.
2. the snap clip device appears to be the 2nd variant used instead of the " oblongated " version which matches the time period of this SS manns uniform.
3. Not visible (or) not there at all......is the grip retaining loop. Most SA and SS men chose to discard this little detail which today just the retaining loop alone will fetch $80.
4. The Runes button is placed higher closer to the upper crossguard
