If you were to take a blacklight to this armband, I am sure it will glow very brightly, thus showing synthetic post war materials were used.

You said this this was stored in an old house, it could have been worn by Neo Nazis or present day sympathizers and or skin heads. The fact it was found/stored in an old house in this case doesn't associate this armband to the pre May 1945 period.

I am sorry to say that I have to agree with my colleagues that this is a very poor copy.
