I have seen this type of printing error on reproduction SS smocks & zeltbahns but not on repro HBT Dot 44 camo. I used to re-enact back in the mid to late 70's (1st SS) and a guy in our unit had some reproduction smocks, zeltbahns & caps made. At the time, it was the best repro SS camo made and it had this type of printing error. Some guys were mad about it until he showed them some original items with the same type of error.

I am no expert on camo trousers however I am being offered a pair of ss camo trousers they are dated 1944 and the maker is Bavarian
does this sound right
I have no pictures
what should I look for to determine original or repo
the seller is a old friend and the pants came out of a estate sale where the person is moving to Arizona

Some fakes are terribles. You must have the good and the fake to compare.
