Was it only the RZM manufactured LAH cuff titles that had the seven strand bullion border??
Found this on an old link Dave.
Williamson and McGuirl’s German Military Cuffbands 1784-Present, 1998, Pages 166-167.
Flatwire-Woven:
“In 1939, as a cost saving measure, production of those bands with hand-embroidered aluminum thread inscriptions was to be augmented by a new type of cuff band on which the inscription was executed in machine woven aluminum thread. Two distinctive styles exist for this type of band. The earlier pattern, when viewed from the reverse, shows a distinctive speckled, so-called “salt and pepper” effect over the greater part of the black cloth. The later pattern, found on most of this style of band introduced during the war time years, displays a completely plain black reverse with the area carrying the reverse image of the weave covered with a protective layer of cloth.”
This may be incorrect but here it is.
In 43 it was no longer control of the RZM. Eric

Thanks Eric yes Iknew about the backings etc but i was checking on the styles of borders the one in this post shows a continuous sticthed thread border whereas i was under the impression that the RZM made versions had the 7 strand aluminium border , so which type is this one , early or late
