Danish SS items via David Delich

Article about: by helmetone The material that makes up the uniforms has the appearance of being very coarse in texture, is that the case? Yes, no, maybe?

Do let me say that I would know but little about SS uniforms and have built no collection without Andrew Mollo and his allies.

These books do not have big colored pictures of uniforms and caps and helmets from a handful of known (versus the also unknown) collections, but this organizational account in seven volumes has not been beat by anyone as near as I can see, and I have been buying these kind of books since they first emerged in the late 1960s.

This medium is an adjunct to, and no replacement for, this knowledge arranged in a conventional manner.

When someone does better, I will be the first to salute.

Of course, on this site we have assembled some noteworthy details, but it is all drawn fundamentally from this canon.

We improve on the work done by someone else decades ago.

I, too, owe a large majority of my knowledge to the set of Uniforms of the SS., which I'm quite grateful for. And you are correct in that their is not many photographs of high quality in these books, but the information is substantial and just as valuable than any picture. By far my best investment to date.

Absolutley fantastic pieces. I am so happy they have been saved and are being looked after so future generations can learn from this.

Most of these photos are taken in TĂžjhusmuseet in Copenhagen, but unfortunately they only display a few Schalburgkorps cufftitles.

I have a Danish National Socialist Party armshield, anyone interested in seeing or some expertise? I have found none alike on the internet. So far I have not confirmed authenticity anywhere.

Yes, I'm sure many members would be interested. Post a separate new thread with clear up close photo's for a better analysis and to help you confirm if it's authentic.
