What a wonderful photo !

Assuming it hasn't been 'photoshopped', it apparently shows (for the first time, to my knowledge) that at least one of these M35 TK collar patches was still being worn ..... and without piping ..... long after it should have been replaced in 1936 ..... and after the 18th Hundertschaft of the SS-Wachverbaende had been absorbed into other SS-TV formations.

Here's a comparison with the 'TK 18' collar patch shown in post #182.

I still think this patch is a copy.

But, in light of this photo, could the patch be a post-1936 'non-regulation' original ??

Hey Robin, The owner wished for photos of this tab to not be posted publicly. He is a seasoned collector/dealer and believes it to be authentic. He proposed that it might be a transitional tab given that bullion thread was used. Another highly seasoned SS-TV/KZ collector reviewed it and also believes it to be authentic. Of course, that doesn't make it so, but lends some weight to the possibility that it might be a period piece.

However, I have never seen a photo of the numbered M35 TK collar patch being worn in conjunction with an Oberbayern (or any other) cuff title. Only the M36 and later.

Eicke's early staff officers (e.g. Hans Weibrecht in the lower photo here) wore a blank cuff title and un-numbered M35 TK collar patch.

Thank you for the clarification, I believe you are correct no cuff title was used with the M/35 EM/NCO numbered collar tab - only with the M/36 and onwards.
