Now this is an interesting first question post!!! do you have the sets to show? WE LIKE THANKS PLEASE!
no i dont have any photos of this i was wondering if the waffen ss ever wore jack boots with the m43 trousers because ive seen some photos of them wearing m43 tunics and jack boots so i was asking if there were wever soildes that would wear jack boots with the m43 trousers.
I would wear what I had or found unless something better turned up.
Yes definitely. Jack Boots were by all accounts much more popular with the soldiers in comparison to M37 Ankle Boots and would have been worn until they were worn out. Equally I’m sure soldiers wore M40 Trousers with M37 Ankle Boots and simply gathered the non tapered legs in their Gaiters. Soldiers just made do with what they were issued, be it brand new items or refurbished older stock.
Exactly. Me110 (who denied me the screen name I wanted) sums it up perfectly.
Issue kit is not optional. For a country that was economically on its knees before they really got started, everything had a use and, certainly by the end, virtually any combination was possible.
Oh, and welcome aboard!
just found this image of a soilder wearing m43 trousers with jack boots
Is he wearing ‘44s? (The one on the left).
There appears to be a V at the waistband..
you mean 43s
but taking a closer look I think you're right and he's not wearing m43s
