Hi and welcome to the forum.

Judging from the photos I'd say you have a very nice Deschler skull.
I can't really comment the tabs, I have to little knowledge, however, here are many who can tell you if they're good or not.

The collar tabs are not good. The pipping is wrong and the skull is trying to mimic the dachau style sutchered one.

Welcome; I would agree with Greg on the tabs.

    Anders,

Take a closer look. I believe this is a casting made from an original Deschler. The pins (which are too long and different widths), appear soldered with the flat side against the round bases. In fact, it looks like the casting incorporated the bases from the original, so they are now integral with the skull, rather than separate pieces themselves. I could be wrong, but that is what it looks like to me.

    The tabs are pure crap

    Best,
    Brad

Hi Brad, having copied the image of the skull (in order to re-post them on our server) I have had the chance to enlarge the picture a little on my PC. I think you may be right about the pins.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi Schultz

First of all welcome to the forum. Second I want to warn you about starting to collect SS items. Unless you have a thick skin, a lot of patience and deep pockets I wouldn't venture there. The SS collecting field is a minefield and without a proper mentor I don't think you will make it unscarred...
