Original deaths head ring

Article about: Not so uncommon but I thought I´d share a closeup were you can see the wear and tear on the silver. This ring probably held some kind of glass "gems" in its eyes. Cheers Jan

"Death head"(quite funny you have in Finish the same expression as in German) is actually a "Skull".

Edit: I just googled - and I am wrong. Obviously in this context "death's head" seems to be correct.

    mea culpa.

In Finnish its called "pääkallo" directly translated its "head skull".

"death's head" in wiki is wrong if you go nitpicking, it's "dead's[pl.] head[sing.]"

maybe has to do with the etymology of kal-lo to kal-ma meanig dead body.. So the kal-lo "skull" just makes it clear what part of the dead is in question
