I have this SS arm band and wanted to know weather it's authentic.

My dad got this from a dealer in the USA around 20 years ago he stated they were straight from the factory...

SS RZM Tags

Good thread on tags. Also you can search ss armbands in the search engine to get more information.

Personally I would need to see the armband in hand. I do not dismiss it immediately based on the pictures.
The RZM paper tag however, is a different story. The Wool RZM style armband with a late 30's tag is correct but the tag itself is fake.
When you start collecting SS cloth it is important to get familiar with the RZM tag structures because this can be your first defense against fakers:





Ask yourself this: Would this armband really be needing a RZM tag with Complexity F ?

RZM tag should be an "D" on wool SS armbands

As stated the RZM Tag should be a D for a wool kampfbinde. Here is a link to mine on my website with some close ups of stitching, material weave, roundel and ribbed border material. You always want to see the roundel be not a perfect circle either.
