SS Runic Tab set
My first purchase of the New Year is this uniform removed SS Runic tab set. It appears to be a nice matching pair with the outline of the stitch holes and some loose threads. The runes have taken on a darker patina not really visible in my photo's. The embroidered runes are intact but show signs of wear and pulls. It also seems slightly asymmetrical in the spaces between the two runes. They do look great in hand but sometimes the macro photography puts them in a different light. Please feel free to comment on authenticity I'm always a bit skeptical when it comes to these things.

The runes stitching looks 'looser' that what I would expect.

It compares well with another more heavily worn tab in my collection. The macro close ups make the weave look a lot looser than they do to the naked eye.

Exactly the buckram we like to see. - the only type I feel comfortable with owning.
Regarding the embroidered rune, I like it and would feel comfortable with. But then again my runic tab purchase from last year was also shot down.

I have major reservations about this tab

And now I am filled with nervous trepidation once again, any other thoughts

Sorry Al, I am not a fan.
The proportions as pointed out in the previous post and, I don't see the edging on the runes like your other tab, or like on mine.

Al, this tab is definitely not the same as the other tab, the last 2 comments 'hit the nai on the head'. I'm sure a single one of these was discussed on WAF about 2 years ago....out of curiosity, how does the colour of the buckrum/glue on the reverse compare to your other tabs under a UV light....any difference ?
