Although it is marked RZM, it lacks the required manufacturers code. This alone would lead me to the conclusion that this is a fake. I personally have never encountered an item of this design.

Here is the voice of a very senior collector of flags, and you also got a skeptical reading from other flag collectors on the other site, known to me. I do not endorse
the other site, but I think skepticism is warranted in this case.
This site is also far, far superior in applied knowledge to SS regalia than what is brought to bear in comments elsewhere.

You are free to do as you wish, and I think very highly of Robin Lumsden, but the Old Flag man on the other site is an old collector like me, and he knows his flags,
as does Bob Coleman. These are pretty authoritative voices, in fact.

It has code 5 and RZM as shown in Urlic of England book on page 395
?
The number is not a proper RZM code marking. Books can also have mistakes. These can be by accident or on purpose. Regardless, if you thought you already knew the answer, why ask the question?
