    Default Totenkopf D K Recipiant's Tunic

This tunic was found by a West German collector in Weimar within a few weeks of the collapse of East Germany. It remained in his collection until a few years back when it was aquired by a good friend of mine who in turn sold it to me. The visor cap is a private purchase Erel and did not come with the tunic. The medals and ribbon bar are representative and were not those that were originally worn on this tunic.

    Robert-
You saw it a few years ago when I brought it to the S O S. I am narrowing my research on who this possibly belonged to. One wonders if he fell in the defense of Budapest or Vienna, which were the final graves of so many Totenkopf men.

The rank on the tunic would be SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer, correct?
