The German colonies of Afrika blockaded in 1914, so supplies from Germany could not reach the territories. This visor must have stayed in Germany during W.W.I

Isnt this the hat that keeps coming up on different auction sites ( ie Bene Morentu) as an original Dswa visor but was considered by ithers to be a pretty good repro?
