The greatcoat of Field Marshal Czar Ferdinand of Bulgaria, model 1912.
The GFM overcoat, here in olive brown with blackened domed Bulgarian lions on each, wide silvered/white thread Russian style boards and collar tabs, with sterling silver crossed FM batons on each. This was his field coat, worn during the Balkan Wars and into WWI, at the front with subdued red tabs for camouflage purposes. Super fine cloth in mint condition, with dark grey silk (tattered) lining.

Czar Ferdinand had more decorations than the Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany or Hermann Goering. Czar Ferdinand was an Austrian Feld Marshall, a Bulgarian Feld Marshall, and an Imperial German general. He was cousin to Kaiser Wilhelm and related to Queen Victoria.

    Thread is open for comments.

I have a lot more to photograph, which I will do over the next several months.

ALso, I have been asked where his TR collection is, and it can be found here in this thread:

This is an amazing collection. Being able to see that in person has to
    be a great thrill.

I hope that you are able to share more with us.

Very impressive collection. I relay look forward to more close ups of the Husaren uniforms, they are stunning.

An incredible collection. If I could I'd pay money just to look around the collection in person. I'm really almost lost for words with this collection.

Absolutely amazing, it would put some public museums to shame with its wide scope and variety of artefacts.

    Thanks for showing.
