Serious looking EM from what is probably the Garde-Kürassier-Regiment (although it could also be the Regiment der Gardes du Corps) wearing a Schützenschnur marksmanship award.

Always nice to have a reasonably legible signature; Leutnant Hans Seubert (9.7.70-30.9.24) of Kürassier-Regiment von Seydlitz (Magdeburgisches) Nr. 7. Presumably taken at the time he was attending the war academy in Berlin (October 99-July 1902). He briefly commanded the regiment on an acting basis in late 1914 and later the replacement squadron. He retired on 31 December 1917 as a Major having held that rank since 27 January 1915. He died in Halberstadt.
