Feldmutze Saksen 1917

Article about: Hi everyone, Just unboxed my new Feldmutze or Krätzchen. It's a Sakson one. I believe it is from a Jager regiment with it's green piping. I hope you like it. There were no visible stampings

    No shoulderboards for this one. I think this grey coat was un-issued. The practise in this time period was not to put shoulderboards on them at the depot. This was done in the field. This was because units were changing constantly into new ones. There are buttons under the collar present. These shoulderboards were shorter than the position of the buttons would suggest. These would then be removed and re-attached on the right distance and the shoulderboards in the field or fielddepot.
