Good Afternoon,
There appears to be a wealth of knowledge and experience in this forum. I would really appreciate some advise on the following Imperial Prussian visor which I have an opportunity to purchase. Particularly:
1. The likely authenticity
2. Unit/regiment.
Thank you for the assistance.
Kind regards,
Anthony
The photos won't enlarge for me, so I am not sure if the cap body is dark blue or green. Also, cannot determine colors of lower or state cockade, although it does have the reserve, or landwehr cross.
No way to tell regiment or battalion if not stamped inside for most infantry units; cavalry regiments much more easy to ID.
Probably line infantry, or, if green, jager or light infantry.
What are colors of lower cockade?
