    I do not advice to open up daggers like these just to look at cast markings, as we all know that this is a Hörster Type 1, lots of these early daggers have grips that became one with the tang and removing them with force can damage the grip.

    I don’t know if there are casting marks on the crossguard.
    I don’t take daggers apart.
    As Gerrit stated we know what it is so it makes no sense to open it.

    Mitsu it are just casting markings. There is nothing special about that.
