Great handwork on that Puma, looking at the acorn of the scabbardbands, lovely, and the pommel is a piece of art.
So far i think the Generic type 1 is the earliest one, but this one and the Hörster type 1 based variations are all produced within a very small timeframe, maybe even at the same time, as demands rose quickly these days and Puma bought what was available in the early days of production.
You have a gem there, lovely handwork, a great guard and a gorgeous blade!
It was my pleasure helping you out with this dagger.

That’s exquisite Kirk! And your photos really do this beautiful piece justice.

Very nice Kirk. Great to see the early daggers.

A very nice acquisition and addition to an already perfect collection as seen on your website .
This will truly fit.
The hand enhancements are a work of art on the pommel which is very attractive.
The set of hangers you chose to go with this dagger is a choice I would of made between the 2 that you showed me...this also fits very well with the character of this Edged Weapon type.
Congrats Bro

It is not the size of a Collection in History that matters......Its the size of your Passion for it!!

Thank you, my blade loving brothers. Dress daggers and edged pieces from the 3rd Reich are certainly something to study. You learn a little more and gain new insight each time you observe them.
