The majority of 3rd pattern FS knives do not have the triangle shape on the blade.
The triangle shape would indicate a hand ground blade. Late in the war, they switched to
a slightly thinner machine ground blade in an effort to reduce manufacturing costs.
What leads us to say that this may be a post war knife, is the really prominent seam line in the grip and the very thin crossguard. There should also be a mold number cast into the grip.
