As I primarily collect Freikorps and early Reichswehr (1919-21) insignia and awards, I have a number of photo postcards in my collection showing the early evolution of postwar uniforms. Here are a few to start with.
Rittmeister Heinrich Heniger in the uniform of the Vorläufige (provisional) Reichswehr (June to Oct. 1919) with sleeve badge of Wehrregiment München.
EM with sleeve badge of Freikorps Petsch, 37. Freiwilligen-Division, Reichswehr-Brigade 20 (June to Oct. 1919).
NCO with collar badges of the Freiwilligen 12. Schlesisches-Infanterie Division, wearing the Silesian Eagle 1st class. (Jan. to June 1919).
EM with sleeve badge of Reichswehr-Brigade 15 (successor to Freiwillige-Regiment Reinhard) (Oct. 1919 to March 1920).
Reichswehr-Schützen-Regiment 4, (June to Oct. 1919). Several are wearing the Deutschritterkreuz shield of the Grenzschutz Ost. Also, shown is the MP-18 Bergmann submachine gun, which was in wide use by Freikorps and Reichswehr units during the communist and Polish uprisings.
II. Marine-Brigade Wilhelmshaven (Marine-Brigade Ehrhardt), 1. MGSS-Abteilung (1st Machine-gun Platoon) (Jan. to June 1919).
Oberst Franz Ritter von Epp (center) with his staff, Bayerisches Schützenkorps (Freikorps Epp), Reichswehr-Brigade 21 (June to Oct. 1919).
Finally, here are some items relating to Reiter Hermann Gollus of the 10. (Preuss.) Reiter-Regiment, 1. Eskadron in 1929.
Sports Badge (bronze) document and close-up shot of Gollus. I also have Gollus' Sports Badge.
Close-up of Gollus' sleeve showing the Freikorps Tradition Badge of Das Freiwilligen-Eskadron Kürassier-Regiment 7. (Seydlitz-Kürassiere) and the badge belonging to Gollus.
Group shot of 1. Eskadron showing Gollus, front row, 2nd from the right. Only those members of 10. (Preuss.) Reiter-Regiment who had served in Das Freiwilligen-Eskadron Kürassier-Regiment 7. during Freikorps actions (Baltic and Silesian campaigns) were eligible to continue to wear the Freikorps sleeve badge as a tradition badge. Gollus was only 15 when he joined the Freikorps. He then continued serving in the regiment right through WWII. Unfortunately, I missed out on the rest of his surviving uniform insignia, awards, hat and sword from the 1930s and WWII which were split up and sold to other collectors.

Apologies for necromancing this thread but I was wondering if anyone here could help me.
Would anyone here happen to have photographs of men of the II (Hanseatic) Battalion, 6. Infantry Regiment (part of the 2. Infantry Division), especially those showing the distinctive landeskockarde (a red cross on a white roundel) or the decals worn on the helmet? I would be very much be appreciative should anyone happen to have one of them.
-Warmest regards

Spandau, those are excellent and very rare photographs! It is great to finally see photographs of this elusive attribute of a serviceman of the Reichswehr.
-Many thanks
