A rather scarce '41 42 code with black plastic grips.Black plastic bottom fxo mag.Matching and correct.Purchased at auction in the U.S. from the famous Bruce Stern Collection.One of the real highlights of my collection I left the auction tag on for provenance

Bruce Stern was a lawyer who fought very hard for the Second Amendment here in the US.He was heavily involved in the NRA.His military firearm and machinegun collection was awesome.Bruce passed a few years ago and most of his collection went to auction.I had the privilege of speaking to him on the phone once about collecting,a cool experience.

Jan Still refers to it as a 42-41 or a 42 code 41 Date Variation.
Axis Pistols Volume II by Jan Still page 7
"42 Code 41 Variation: All blue;some have black plastic grips;P.08 left frame;serial numbers overlap 42-1940 variation and byf 41 variation;serial range 2500n-6700r. Estimated production:7,000."
