    That could be, who knows. Not everything always has to have a deeper meaning, sometimes there were certainly practical reasons for doing something one way or another. Also with the Nazis, also in Germany.

    This style kepis worn by Blockwart and Zellenwart ranks from July 1932. Before July 1932 Blockwart and Zellenwart kepis had brown chin strap, as SA had.
