Looks like the roundel to an early S.A. Buckle, JMO, I cannot find a pic in my files but will keep looking..

Many thanks to you both for your answers. Now I have a direction I will investigate further.

Having read the post on the SA Danzig I'm leaning towards the collar badge. The buckle appears to have the badge soldered to the body whereas my badge has pins that look more suitable for the collar patch.

Gwar and myself have known each other for many years, corresponded privately and on the Forum for many years and as such, I know that he will not mind one little bit if I say this.

The emblem that you have shown has no buckle connection whatsoever and instead, is simply a well documented device for a most specialised collar patch. Again, as detailed within the Forum link that I provided. Good luck with your research into what I think is the obscure and little known Verstärkter Grenzaufsichtsdienst (VGAD), the results towards which I hope you will share with us.
