can someone tell me more about this badge?
real...fake....?

It's nicely put together sympathy abzeichen. The buttonhole mount looks similar to Austrian examples I have seen but in close up the black enamel on the swastika appears not to have been polished flat as was the general norm by period manufacturers.

Two reasons I can think of is the badge has been re enamelled or it's a dud.

I'm giving it a thumbs down.
