I've always wondered about things like this... I mean this is clearly not an authentic item from the NSDAP era but who makes these fake items? Where are they made? I would think most companies in the Western world would be afraid to even manufacture such items.... China maybe???

Question ? What makes this item a fake ? What is the reasoning for these statements ? The original posters button is marked M5/252 for Matt. Salcher & Sohne, AG (Sudetenland), these are also described as 'Amswalterknopf' - Amswalter Button in F.W. Assmanns Catalog, I for one would like to hear the facts on why this particular button is not accepted as an original other than 'Fake'

I'm no button-expert, but it appears artificially aged to me... casting flaw on the Swastika and poor detail would raise my suspicions...

Glenn said it all! IMO it looks as poor as it came out of a Gumball Machine.

You're right. Looks very strange, the metal. Some cheap alloy designed to look like brass.
