NSRL - DRL Sports Insignia bevo patch

First item of the new year is this great looking sports insignia for the DRL or NSRL which I won at auction in a nice patch lot.
It looks like the type worn by the National team at the 1936 Olympic games. The DRL changed its name in 1938 to NSRL (Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen) so if it is it would be associated with the DRL.
Although the type I've seen associated with the Olympics seem to be thick cotton not bevo like this one. Any input on this is much appreciated.
