The sacrifice of life is a huge sacrifice, there is only one that is more terrible, the sacrifice of honor

There are some very VERY sad people in this world....
Such a shame.

A superb and iconic addition to any high end collection!.... And worth a fortune too!
An absolute sickening disgrace!!! I'm furious!!!
All of us here, are collectors in some way, but I imagine ALL of us are absolutely appalled by this disgusting theft!!
I really hope the b*****d responsible is brought to justice!!!!!
I will repeat what I said earlier in another thread on the same subject: disgraceful.
My main hope is that the item is recovered and put back in it's rightful place. Whatever punishment is given to the thieves concerned will not be enough!
Something like this does not belong in any so called "collection".
Cheers, Ade.
I agree with Ade, no respect for victims
i wholeheartedly agree with all the previous posters...it probablyis already in someone's collection,,,i hope they catch the new owner and the low-down scum of the earth that took this iconic historical item,,,shame on them!
I am truly pissed off!
The article stated that the area is under security observation, and also mentioned that the sign has been removed for restoration purposes from time to time. Knowing this, I think that if ever found, the sign will be confirmed to have been stolen by one of the members of the crew who disassembled it prior to the theft.
You don't just walk up to a protected site and remove a 16 ft. sign of such significance and casually walk away with it without having planned the theft and having knowledge of security procedures and personnel schedules.

The mind boggles.
Truly a sad testament to modern times.
