The expression Gebirgs-Jägerdstandarte existed within the SA.
For example Gebirgs-Jägerstandarte 4 from Gruppe Alpenland
or Gebirgs-Jägerstandarte 59 also from Alpenland.
With an announcement from the Oberste SA-Führung from
September 19, 1938 (order FO 2a 11210) the so-called
Gebirgs-Jäger-Einheiten were arranged and indicated as
Gebirgs-Jäger-Brigade and Gebirgs-Jäger-Standarte,
abbreviated as Br.GJ and GJ. They all existed within Austrian-
areas.
Within Alpenland existed the numbers: 11, 41 and 59 from
brigade 98 and the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 from brigade 99;
within Donau none existed and in the Südmark-area there
existed many of them. I thought it be seventeen and also
some Gebirgs-Schützen-Standarte (four).
I have no RAD-Verordnungsblatt from 1945. My last issue is from
ultimate 1944. I am not able to check the information from
Waldmann. But it is possible the RAD followed the SA. Why not?
