SA Brigadeführer tunic
Hi all,
This tunic was sold a week ago in auction.
Since these tunics are rarely seen, I would like to hear your opinions on it.
There aren't a lot of photos available but from the (limited) photos, I would say that this tunic is put together. The insignia do appear to be real to me, as is the base tunic IMO (although not sure if it started life as an SA or Politische Leiter tunic).
Seeing a 1944 pattern tunic without service stripes doesn't really bother me however, a good
few other known examples lack these service stripes too.
Thanks for your opinions! Curious to hear what other people think!

Base tunic look good, but I belive insignias are bad and I don't care about armabd too.
Also with the last pattern collar tabs should be used two shoulder straps.

Armband does indeed look fake!
So a put together that is made with completely fake insignia then?

The PL tunic is definitely a piece of tinkering. A Tunic with Ortsgruppenleiter armband and without collar piping and collar tabs is more than unusual. For a time, PLs wore a 1939 armband appropriate to their position rather than collar tabs because they had not yet been ranked. But without collar piping it is out of question in my opinion. In the SA Tunic, I agree with you, a 1944 Brigadefuhrer without service stripes - never! And I'm with TJ, he should also wear two shoulder boards. The collar cord looks strange, and the collar tabs also look somehow fake. In addition, the shoulder board is sewn very sloppily, as if it were done by an amateur. I wouldn't want these tunics in my collection.

Agreed with PL tunic, that armband is just put there on post war.
