Perhaps, the badge is crisp but the pins don't look right. A lot of websites produce copies of these but the backs are usually terrible cast molds. A closeup photo of the solder area would help.

Unfortunately I'm inclined to believe this is a good quality replica. even though there is excess solder around the pin base it looks like they are original to the badge. Also as I look at this picture I can see a flared rim running all along the edge of the eagle indicating it's a cast mold not a clean stamped die piece. All that extra material around the edges is from a mold. I highlighted a few areas for you to see.

Many thanks for the detailed reply Aldo. It’s blatantly obvious now that you point it out. I bought it from great Militaria, they are based in Sweden and advertise in this forum. Do you think I should message them?
Absolutely, I would. They should honor a return. It's an honest mistake, it took all this dissecting of the images to determine it's a good quality copy.
