Strange SA eagle help please

My assumption is this is a SA eagle or a out right fake. I came across this in a local shop and have not ever seen before and believe it to be a fantasy item. I only took a pic of the front since the back is solid and lacks any pins for attachment. Show evidence of being glued to a album or paper. I am looking to see if I should go back or run away. All opinions are appreciated. Thank you for looking. I was not able to get the pics to turn properly. My apologies

The eagle that you have shown appears to be of the type found on fake Feldgendarmerie gorgets.

Gorget shown is an original example by the way.
