Hi, yes i agree, you can find some nice designs on them, and they are still relatively cheap compared to some third reich items.
Brookes.
Be careful they add up.
Hey,that's an impressive collection you've got there.
Thanks for showing.Brookes.
Some nice item shown guys
Tinnies are a great way to break into Third Reich collecting. My very first item was a tinnie. They are still affordable too. The design work on some of them is fantastic. They also come in a variety of metals and even plastics. There is also a massive amount to collect! The Nazi Party estimated at one point before the war that over 32,000 different ones had been designed and issued. Many years ago you could collect these with confidence as they had not been copied, alas that is now no longer the case and some of the more common one has now suffered attention from the fake merchants. But without lulling anyone into a false sence of security here, the vast majority of designs are not faked. But still take care.
Cheers, Ade.
Unfortunately,if these people can make money out of an item, they will fake it.I think the lower cost of tinnies has kept the percentage of fakes down, for the time being anyhow.
Cheers Brookes
