Nice buckle Markus
A good looking DLV or RLB (?) buckle and with character.
The subject has been discussed many times before within the Forum, however the manufacturer of this buckle was Paul Cramer u. Co., Lüdenscheid.
The 72 actually indicates UE 72.
We know examples of buckles by this maker where in the utter confusion of the mid 1930’s towards how to correctly display a RZM license number (often erroneously described as a manufacturers code), the number in isolation has been stamped out with a circle and replaced with UE 72.
Having said that, the small, distinctive and unattractive ears to the buckle, together with the forward leaning brazed on catch, are I think signature fabrication features for Paul Cramer u. Co..
Regards and best wishes,
David
