David, no need for the apology my friend, the site the buckle came off has some interesting buckles, some very nice and original but quite a few are very dubious!!!!!

A good example of the steel SHD that you have shown, with a crisp and clear Brehmer logo by the way.

Does yours have a stamped in number code underneath the pin shroud?

David, it certainly does. Numbered 42, I've missed that all the years i've been the caretaker of this buckle. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
