Hi Guys
Just picked up this Reichswehr EM belt buckle in nickle silver, weight 45 gramms. It has remains of, what looks to be the original field grey paint, mostly on the reverse. The belt prongs have a slight curve to them & the prong ends are not as 'sharp' as you normally see & resembles a 'Schmölle &Comp. Menden' example that I found on this thread Reichswehr Buckles . One thing I did notice is that when the buckle was produced, the die must have been slightly off....if you look at the obverse, roundel detail, there seems to have been a shift from the 4 o'clock postioning more to 10 o'clock, which has resulted in the 'pebbling' incurring into the rope detail (on the roundel) at 10 o'clock, at 4 o'clock, between the rope & pebbling this is slightly apparent too (the roundel should be slightly to the right) !
Cheers
Paul
