Adam, I have never seen one before but an interesting buckle. Does look like a wound badge though lol

A great looking buckle Adam and one that I think is very interesting. To be honest, I have never seen this oval emblem design before. As having been previously mentioned, it looks as though the designer of the emblem took their inspiration from a wound badge. Great detail and to include a very stylised steel helmet, although it looks as though the tiny iron cross has almost been an after thought.

As to who wore the buckle, heaven knows. I think however that it is a commercially produced and private purchase military service remembrance trouser buckle. No more and no less and without any association to any organisation whatsoever.

It makes no difference, as I think that this is a rare and good looking Gürtelschließe.
