    A recent addition to my collection. Originally I thought the catch has been replace because my 1943 had a catch with wider and flatter feet. After searching around I found other 1941 with the same Catch. Now I think this Catch was repaired. I have found 1942 CTD with Crank catchers.

    The 1941 is guilded. The 1943 is either anodized or gold washed..

    You are right, this catch is typical for the CTD 1941 KM Buckles

    Must admit I dont recall seeing a catch like that on a 41 dated buckle

    I wonder if they only used this catch on KM buckles? Anyone got a 41 dated Heer buckle by CTD with this type of catch?

    Searching around I found several 1941 examples with this Catch. They were still using it on some Heer buckles in 1942. An example in my collection. Thanks for posting the link and the photos.
