A newly acquired aluminum Reichsbahn buckle compared to the same in nickle.

Are you sure the one buckle is nickel? It looks like a steel buckle. You might try a magnet on it. Steel Bahnschutz buckle are harder to find than nickel.

Yes, I tried a magnet to confirm it's not steel. It is also very similar in construction to other nickle buckles I have.
