Hey guy's.
Can I get some opinions on this Steel Hessen buckle.
Is it the real deal?? Or a known copy
And if good would it be late war economy, or early manufacture.
Cheers

By no means a collector of these, but comparing this with some known examples, I would give this one a cautious thumbs up. Best to wait and see what members with more experience in collecting Imperial buckles have to say.
Yes I hear you.
It's very similar to this one in the imperial war museum but would love some expert opinions.
The prongs certainly look similar. I’ve lightened the image in your first post a little so that the prongs can hopefully be seen a bit more clearly.
Hello,
A beautiful and original Hessian buckle... Produced, issued and worn from 1915 (M15). Originally painted "field gray" with anti-rust galvanizing underneath... Here's his brother from my collection...
There is also a Hessian private purchase buckle in brass
Best regards
kabl
Thank you, that's great help.
