    Hey guys i'm glad too say that my collection has offically started for German/Prussian WW1! This belt is my first addition to my collection and is in beautiful shape. After asking on some help from he wrf mod (oradour) he said that this is most likley a Private purchase belt. Also i would like to thank you for your help mate! My oplogies on the bad pics its from my cell phone. Also the maker on the bucklr is D.R.G.M soany info on the maker would be much apreciated!
    Cant wait to continue collecting!!

    Good looking private purchase belt and buckle which was used by soldiers with the walking out uniform

    The black leather belt is usually lacquered and much thinner than the issued one

    The buckle maker is not D.R.G.M., these letters mean Deutsche Reich Gebraucht Muster, which can be translated by "patented by the german empire" or something close to that

    The issued buckles can have the makers name stamped at the back of the buckle or on the leather tongue together with the yar of issue

    Very nice looking buckle, brass with a nickel roundel, just how I like em with the added bouns of the D.R G.M marking
