Title sorta says it all. Thought this was a interesting production slip up on a recent M80 helmet purchase

The liner pins are as tight as they can be so I don’t suspect it’s the case someone messed around with it. The quality control guy must of been sleeping..

I will include a normal liner on my other M80 for comparison

NORMAL liner position with leather for the forehead plus Iraqi supply stamp and Arabic names

BACK TO FRONT liner position with leather touching the back of the head with just Arabic names

Actually now that I have properly examined the helmet. It appears when the clips are released the leather band can rotate. But on this example I can tell from the corrosion on said clips someone did this a very long time ago

I was going to say that I think it's just the head band installed the wrong way round but the wear and the way the nape strap sits it looks like is been worn for some time like that. The helmet was possibly worn back to front.

In any case I won’t want to try fix it as it feels the leather will snap!
